Bark Beetle Mitigation Funds For Seniors

Bark Beetle Mitigation Funds For Seniors

Here’s a reminder for local low-income seniors, from Amador County District 3 Supervisor Lynn Morgan.  Funds are still available for mitigating dead bark beetle trees that threaten their homes. A few months back, Morgan created a fund with the Amador Community Foundation that will allow grants to low-income Amador County residents aged 62 and older. The grants are for falling or otherwise removing trees that are a threat to homes and will range from $500 - $1,000. If you are in need of such a grant, you will need to get a cost estimate from a tree removal expert and include that with your application.  The cutoff date for applications is April 1st.  For more information, please contact Supervisor Lynn Morgan at 223-6493.
