More Roadwork This Week!

Look for delays on Amador County roadways this week.  Caltrans has a number of paving projects planned, both day and night!   First on the list, one-way traffic control will be in effect on eastbound and westbound Highway 16 from Highway 49 to the Sacramento/Amador County line for paving operations.  Work will begin Wednesday and run through Friday from 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.  This is part of a $2.5 million paving project along nine miles of highway from the Sacramento/Amador County line to the Highway 16 /49 junction, north of Drytown.      Look for one-way traffic control on eastbound and westbound Highway 88 from Tragedy Springs Road to the Silver Lake Campground for striping Wednesday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.  More striping work is scheduled during the evening with one-way traffic control on eastbound and westbound Highway 88 from Fort Jackson Creek to Silver Drive Wednesday through Friday from 7:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.     Finally, Caltrans will have one-way traffic control in effect on eastbound and westbound Highway 88 from Wagon Wheel Drive to Sugar Pine Drive for drainage work Tuesday through Friday, almost round the clock, from 8:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.    Motorists should expect 10 to 15 minute delays on all these projects and alternate routes should be taken whenever possible.   Work is scheduled to begin as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment and/or materials, and construction related issues.
