Highway 16 Improvement Project Complete 

The California Department of Transportation has announced completion on a $2.1 million improvement project on Highway 16 that repaved nine miles of roadway from the Sacramento/Amador county line to the Highway 16/49 junction, North of Drytown. The project was designed to improve the road surface and will enhance the efficiency of travel and safety for motorists traveling in Amador County. Cal Trans would like to extend its appreciation to motorists and residents for their patience during this project and remember, for the safety of workers and other motorists; please slow for the cone zone.
