AWA Announces Planned Service Interruption For Sutter Creek

The Amador Water Agency has announced a planned service interruption for Sutter Creek this Sunday evening.  Beginning at 9:00 PM on Sunday, evening water service will be interrupted to facilitate the installation of new water main valves as part of the Sutter Creek Bridge Project. This shutdown should be completed by 5:00 am Monday morning.   Once the shutdown is complete and the water supply is turned back on, the state Division of Drinking Water requires the AWA to take water quality samples to ensure it is safe to drink.  This testing takes 18 hours from the time the samples reach the lab.  During that time those customers affected will be required to boil any water for consuming (or use bottled water) until sample results come back. Twelve (12) customers will be affected along Main Street by this shut down and if you did not receive a letter and door tag then you will not be included in this shut down. If you have any further questions please feel free to contact the water agency at 223-3018.
