This Saturday A Meeting Will Be Held To Allow Amador Voters To Have Their Election Stories Heard

This Saturday a meeting will be held at the American Legion Hall to allow voters from all political parties in Amador County to have their election stories documented. According to the organizers, there is nothing more important to the sanctity of our democracy than fair and transparent elections. All across Amador County, people have stories about this year’s primary election: Not enough ballots, registered voters being turned away from the polls, folks who tried to turn in a mail in ballot and given provisional ballots instead, folks who received incorrect sample ballots or incomplete mail-in ballots, some ballots not listing local races, promotion of candidates just outside polls, politicking by poll workers inside polls, and more. The purpose of Saturday’s meeting will be to document individual stories with the hope this never happens again. If you cannot attend, but want to share your personal voting experience, send an email to This email address is being protected from spambots.
