Coroner Releases Name Of 38-Year-Old Mountain Ranch Man Shot And Killed By Law Enforcement 

The Calaveras Coroner has released the name of the 38-year-old Mountain Ranch man shot and killed by law enforcement officials late Thursday night, as John James Corrigan. Sheriff Officials also released new details regarding the criminal history of Corrigan who was shot and killed by law enforcement officials. According to Sheriff’s Officials, Corrigan is a registered sex offender and convicted felon. He has a lengthy criminal record spanning from the Central Valley to Southern California in the Chatsworth area where he has another residence. In 2004 he was convicted of lewd or lascivious acts with a child under 14 years of age. Corrigan also has previous arrests for rape, drugs, DUI and disturbing the peace. The officers involved in the shooting have been placed on administrative leave while the shooting investigation continues.
