JPD Warn Of An Uptick In Car Burglaries Throughout City

With an uptick in car burglaries throughout the City, the Jackson Police Department is asking the public to be more aware if items left in plain view in unlocked vehicles. In the past couple of months the JPD have had several reports from citizens regarding their cars being burglarized. On each occasion the vehicle owner either left the doors unlocked or windows down. The department acknowledges there are more people walking the streets of Jackson late at night and in the early morning hours, so to cut down the temptation to steal, lock your vehicles and keep personal items out of plain sight. If anyone has any information on car burglaries please contact investigator Doug Grey at 223-1771.
