Dandelion Days Offers A New Feature For Locals

As a new feature of the Jackson Lions Club Dandelion Days street fair is being offered to locals.  The club has designated a special area available for a limited number of local people who wish to sell their yard sale items in downtown Jackson during this years event, March 16 and 17. According to event coordinator Byron Welch, the Lions club decided it was time we go back to their roots and open the event up to domestic yard and garage sale type venders who wish to sell their antiques, collectibles and miscellaneous household items.   For only $50 for both days, local folks can rent a 10’ by 10’ space in the Wells Fargo parking lot and find a way to turn their trash into cash.

Space is available on a first come first served basis, so Welch reminds would-be sellers to sign up sooner rather than later.  In addition to the new yard sale venue, Dandelion Days will feature its usual assortment of impressive selections of arts and crafts booths and food vendors.  Also featured is the beer and wine garden sponsored by the National Hotel and Jackson Rancheria.  Live music is performed at two venues including Petovich Park and in Vogan Alley next to the National Hotel. To sign up for a booth, visit Jacksonlionsclub.org and follow the links to Dandelion Days. For further details, call 296-2275.
