Two major road projects will slow traffic over the next week.  Caltrans will perform one-way traffic control on Highway 104 in Amador County from the Edwin Railroad Crossing, east of Michigan Bar/Ione Road, to the Amador/Sacramento county line running Monday and Tuesday of next week, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  Motorists are advised to plan for an additional 20-minute delay due to this roadwork.

Motorists can also expect one-way traffic control on Highway 124 at Willow Creek Road/Mt. Echo Road, east of Ione beginning Wednesday, October 2, until Thursday, October 3, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for paving work.  Motorists should expect 15-minute delays and seek alternate routes.  Both of these projects are subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment and/or materials, and construction related issues.   Also, Ione Road Michigan Bar road remains closed for bridge work.
