Local Candidate Becomes Victim Of Vandalism

A Calaveras candidate became the victim of vandalism over the weekend. Amanda Folendorf, a candidate for District 4 Supervisor, had 13 signs spray painted. The signs were located in Copperopolis, Angels Camp, and the roadways of Pool Station Road & Highway 4. According to photographs, some signs were written over with words like, “liar”, “crime”, and “failed money” while others contained more vulgar and negative messages about her campaign. Folendorf claims that each sign was $65 dollars which totals to $845 dollars of damage. Since discovering the vandalism, Folendorf has filed reports with the Sheriff’s Office and the Angels Camp Police Department. Since then, she has issued the following quote, “The vandalism that took place will not silence our message of positive change and a better future for Calaveras County. This is not what we want to teach our children; it is not okay to intimidate, bully, and disrespect personal property because we do not agree on local politics.”
