COVID-19 Weekly Update 6-26-20

In her weekly update, Amador County Health Officer Dr. Rita Kerr, confirmed a COVID-19 case cluster linked to the case reported Monday. That person, a female in her 20’s, had traveled to areas with more COVID-19 activity, indicating exposure to the virus outside of the county. Others that worked with this individual and a friend tested positive. Kerr says, while the case cluster meets the threshold of a workplace outbreak, publishing the name of the business, risks public identification of the cases involved and that confidentiality cannot be violated as part of a contact tracing process. By law, the public health department cannot reveal any information that could identify these individuals. Kerr goes on to say, prior to positive testing results, the business had incorporated all recommended modifications, minimizing the risk to any members of the public who may have entered. The employer has fully cooperated with public health.

To date Amador County Public Health has received 2,029 test results. Total positive confirmed case count:20 (the latest reported yesterday morning is a female resident of Sutter Creek in her 20’s) total in isolation: 10 total cases currently hospitalized:0 Total recovered of the confirmed cases: 10.
