Fiddletown Jam this weekend

Fiddletown is getting ready to tap its toes and celebrate 75 years of music and community.  The annual Fiddlers’ Jam Street Fair returns to the historic Gold Rush town on Saturday, September 19th, with organizers expecting around 1,500 people for this milestone anniversary.  The tradition which dates back to 1951, will feature live music and the fiddle contest.   All performing artists are welcomed to bring their instruments and join friends old and new for improve at “Street Jam Joints”, and fiddlers are invited to compete in the Fiddle Contest.   “Street Jam Joints” will be held at three locations, under pop-ups for protection from the elements.  There will also be food, artisan crafts, microbrews, and award-winning wines.  The Fiddlers’ Jam is free, family-friendly, and dog-friendly.  Festivities run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. this Saturday in Fiddletown.
