Ride Operator Arrested
Amador County Sheriff's investigators say additional alleged victims have come forward following the arrest of a carnival employee at the Amador County Fair. The Sheriff's Office says it has now received reports from seven individuals with similar allegations of misconduct. The suspect has been identified as 64-year-old Guillermo Carrillo of Fort Bragg. Carrillo was arrested after an initial complaint and is being held in the Amador County Jail on a charge of committing lewd or lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14. His bail has been set at $100,000. Because the investigation is ongoing and involves minors, investigators say they will not be releasing any additional details at this time. Officials acknowledge that information circulating on social media has prompted additional reports, and they are urging anyone who may have been touched inappropriately, or anyone who has photos or video that may have captured an incident, to contact the Amador County Sheriff's Office. Anyone with information is asked to call 209-223-6500 and ask for Detective Bettencourt. Again, this investigation remains active.
